Something new is brewing in Brewerytown, Philadelphia – Baby’s Kusina & Market, a haven of authentic Filipino delicacies, where you can also get kapeng barako.

Located at 2816 West Girard Avenue, Brewerytown, this all-day casual kitchen won’t just be a food spot but also a place that honors her Filipino roots, a cultural rendezvous and your new sari-sari store, all rolled into one.

The name celebrates her Filipino heritage and her mom, whose nickname is “Baby.”

Raquel Dang, who used to navigate the pharmaceutical world, has shifted to wearing a chef’s hat instead as she embarks on a culinary journey. 

Seeing the significance of sharing her narratives, Dang expressed,  “I think it’s just so important to tell our stories. And I think the best way to tell our story is through food.”

It all started in 2018 with a dream sparked by her supper club Tita Emmie’s.
