Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez reunite for US concert tour

Philippine music icons Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez are teaming up once again for a series of concerts across the United States this June.
The announcement came via social media on March 22, with “The Voice Teens Season 3” coach expressing his excitement to share the stage with Fernandez once more.
“Always a pleasure to share the stage with the concert queen!” expressed the “concert king,” reflecting the musical synergy between the performers known for their live concert performances and timeless hits.

The duo will commence their US tour at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant in Oklahoma on June 1, followed by performances at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California on June 2, and Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California on June 8.
Their reunion follows Fernandez’s successful comeback concert last month, where her ex-husband made a special appearance.
In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the revered “concert queen” took to Instagram to express her appreciation for Nievera, highlighting his selfless decision to forgo his annual Valentine’s show in favor of supporting her own concert, “Always Loved.”

“He was supposed to have his yearly Valentine show in Solaire but decided to skip this year when he found out I will be doing ‘Always Loved.’ I told him to go ahead and do it as he will just be guesting in mine. He opted not to…” Fernandez recounted, underscoring Nievera’s unwavering commitment to their shared musical journey spanning over four decades.
Reflecting on their partnership, she reminisced about the pivotal role Nievera played in her career, particularly during their time together on “Penthouse Live!”
She credited her ex-husband for helping her shine on stage and acknowledged the unparalleled chemistry they continue to share. As she concluded her message, Fernandez expressed her gratitude to Nievera for making her “shine.”
Both of them are now grandparents as they welcomed their first grandchild, Phineas, last December.
