Formerly part of the US women’s national gymnastics team, the Fil-Am gymnast made history by becoming the first Filipina gymnast in six decades to secure a spot in the Olympics, according to the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines.

Transitioning from representing the US to proudly wearing the Philippines’ colors, she showcased her exceptional talent through standout performances at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, ultimately earning her qualification at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp in October 2023.

Finnegan secured 51.366 points at the world championships, placing 32nd in the qualification round. With this addition to her credentials, it solidified her position as one of the top 14 eligible athletes for the Olympics.
