With “Mabuhay Is A Lie,” Ollero takes center stage, delivering his signature blend of humor that resonates with audiences both locally and internationally.

Behind the scenes, the production of this comedy special was a collaborative effort. With the objective to create a uniquely Filipino comedy experience, solidifying it as the country’s first 100 percent Filipino comedy special on Netflix, “Mabuhay Is A Lie” is a team up between Ollero, comedy director Ryan Puno of Solid Ok, and director Marius Talampas, who is also a comedy enthusiast.

The project also received additional support from Arcade Film Factory.

In a Facebook post, Ollero shared a photo of the team with the caption, “Whatever happens, this is what I’m proud of. We got to assemble an all-Filipino village, nay, a barangay of passionate people to make ‘Mabuhay is a Lie!’ The first Tagalog Netflix Stand-Up Comedy Special!”

He added that the special is “written, performed, directed, produced, made by Filipinos, made in The Philippines.”

As audiences around the world tune in to this comedy special, it’s evident that Filipino comedy has found a new platform to shine on the international stage, with Ollero leading the charge.
