Despite its initial conception in a burst of creative fervor lasting a mere 20 or 30 minutes, the Fil-Am songstress highlighted the intensive dedication she and her producer poured into refining every aspect of the piece.

The culmination of their efforts resulted in a well-deserved Song of the Year accolade, setting the stage for her highly anticipated “Guts” world tour kick-off on Feb. 23.

The tour debut is slated to take place at Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena, marking the beginning of a journey spanning 56 other cities as of now.

But Rodrigo isn’t the only star shining bright at this year’s People’s Choice Awards. Taylor Swift and her star athlete boyfriend, Travis Kelce clinched a slew of awards. The “Cruel Summer” singer, who’s on tour right now, won Female Artist, Pop Artist, Concert Tour and Social Celebrity awards. Meanwhile Kelce secured Athlete of the Year.

Other notable winners of the night included Nicki Minaj, who claimed victories in the Hip-Hop Artist and Collaboration Song categories for “Barbie World,” her collaboration with Ice Spice featuring Aqua. Ice Spice also scored big with the New Artist award, while Jimmy Fallon secured wins for Nighttime Talk Show and Host.
