The magic of “Firefly” continues to weave its spell as it journeys across the United States, following its success at the recently concluded Manila International Film Festival (MIFF).

Scheduled to begin on Feb. 16, the film’s nationwide screenings promise to extend its reach even further.

Announced via GMA Pictures’ social media platforms, “Firefly,” which garnered multiple awards in the inaugural MIFF including Best Supporting Actress for Alessandra De Rossi and Best Director for Zig Dulay, invites viewers to delve into its heartwarming tale and experience its narrative firsthand.

The US tour of the film will encompass nine cities in California, spanning from Carson, Cerritos, Elk Grove, Milpitas, San Bruno, San Diego, Union City, Vallejo, to West Covina, with additional screenings in Hawaii, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and Texas.

Moreover, audiences in Tamuning, Guam and Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, will also have the opportunity to watch.

Directed by Dulay, the movie follows the journey of Tonton, portrayed by Euwenn Mikaell, as he embarks on a quest inspired by his mother’s bedtime stories, brought to life by Alessandra De Rossi.

Having already garnered acclaim at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Gabi ng Parangal, where it secured awards such as Best Picture and Best Child Actor, “Firefly” continues to make its heartfelt storytelling reach even more audiences, internationally.
