Filipino artists join LA exhibit featuring 100+ galleries from across the globe
LOS ANGELES – The LA Art Show, featuring an impressive global lineup of over 100 exhibiting galleries and institutions, opened on Valentine’s Day at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown LA. The exhibit will run until Feb. 18.
Thousands of pieces – paintings, sculptures and installations – are on display at the convention center’s West Hall.
The show’s international exhibitor lineup includes Galerie Joaquin from the Philippines.
The show kicked off with an Opening Night Premiere on Valentine’s Day, hosted by award-winning actress Lucy Hale in collaboration with LA Art Show’s new charity partner, the American Heart Association, which is celebrating its centennial.
The LA Art Show will donate 15 percent of proceeds from every ticket to the American Heart Association’s Life Is Why™ Campaign.
This year’s program explores the “intersection of memory, humanity and AI,” showcasing a selection of cutting-edge art, technology and multimedia exhibitions, organizers said.
The event also presents the 2024 edition of DIVERSEartLA, curated by Marisa Caichiolo.
Guided by the leadership of producer and director Kassandra Voyagis, the LA Art Show presents a spectacular international exhibitor lineup from the Philippines, Italy, Israel, Peru and South Korea.
“With over 100 galleries, museums and nonprofits exhibiting this year, we continue our commitment to creating the most comprehensive contemporary art experience,” said Voyagis. “This year’s show will celebrate art – globally and locally – and inspire important dialogue.”
Show highlights include:
- Young Masters, a not-for-profit initiative launched in 2009 by Cynthia Corbett Gallery to support and showcase emerging artists worldwide
