Well, if breaking records worldwide is a challenge then Swifties are taking the lead, having smashed hits since last year.

Just last month, Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” not only broke the record as the highest-grossing music tour in history but also became the first to surpass a billion dollars in revenue.

And in 2024, a 20-year-old Swiftie from Pakistan recently clinched the Guinness World Record for identifying the most Taylor Swift songs in under a minute.

Surpassing Dan Simpson’s previous record of 27 songs set in 2019, Bilal Ilyas Jhandir accurately identified a total of 34 songs.

GWR took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the video of Bilal with the caption, “Here’s Bilal Ilyas Jhandir and his super knowledge of Taylor Swift lyrics, which allowed him to set his record for the most Swift songs identified by their lyrics in one minute.”

While you may think it was all a walk in the park, the challenge faced by Bilal was no easy feat. Taylor Swift’s top 50 bestselling songs were meticulously compiled into a randomly ordered list. In a test of lyrical recall, he was tasked with identifying each song solely from its opening lyrics, which were read aloud by a human.

As reported by Guinness World Records in their press release, he dedicated 13 weeks of preparation for this attempt, ensuring he achieved the highest score possible in the test.

Expressing his “best way on earth” to express his love for the singer, Bilal shared, “I have been listening to Taylor Swift since my childhood. I am a die-hard fan of hers. I have listened to each and every song of hers. I can identify almost any song of hers from the lyrics.”

Talking about breaking records, this wasn’t his first time. In 2021, he secured his first record for identifying the most animals from their sounds in one minute. Following this, in 2022, he set another record by identifying the most Justin Bieber songs from their lyrics in one minute.
