Latest ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ trailer shows more of Liza Soberano in her Hollywood debut
Liza Soberano is not new to making headlines, but fans were extra excited for the Fil-Am beauty when she landed her Hollywood debut role in “Lisa Frankenstein.”
She’s joining Marvel actress Kathryn Newton, “Riverdale” star Cole Sprouse, and Carla Gugino—both surprising and proving her haters wrong as she took matters of expanding her career into her own hands.
Although the actress’ Hollywood stint had been temporarily on pause due to the SAG-Aftra strike, fans now have a better glimpse of Soberano’s role in “Lisa Frankenstein” following its official trailer release.
Earlier on, it was revealed that the Filipina actress plays the role of Taffy, the titular character’s step sister, and their relationship dynamic had been hinted at in the official teaser trailer’s release in October.
In the trailer of Zelda Williams’ directorial debut, Soberano is seen wearing multiple ’80s looks, one of which was a cheer uniform in a scene where she says, “She could probably even do pageants if she had congeniality,” talking about Newton’s Lisa.
“Lisa Frankenstein,” written by Diablo Cody, is set for its US theatrical release on Feb. 9, 2024.

Currently, Soberano is also making waves in South Korea as she boards the Season 4 cast of the Korean online show “Hwaiting” with K-Pop stars Eric Nam, former Momoland member Nancy, Astro’s Jinjin, and The Boyz members Kevin and Jacob.
