Tubby Nugget is where cuteness meets a dash of humor whipping up a positive social impact. And in the ever-evolving platform of online hilarity and memes, Filipino American Jennie Pastores and husband Joshua Drew Jackson brought Tubby Nugget to life — coming from a love-infused inside joke.

“It was an inside joke. I used to call him tubby all the time,” confessed Pastores, while Jackson shares: “So I drew a little nugget on my phone and would send it to her when she was sad to cheer her up.”

In this world where most are struggling with their inner battles, looking after one’s mental health is a must. This is where this cute character comes to the rescue.

A social media sensation that’s all about self-love and “making sure you take care of your mental health and also embracing your inner fat. It’s our personal sense of humor,” said Pastores in an interview.

What started out as a hiatus from the couple’s entertainment industry hustle transformed into a global phenomenon.
