There’s apparently a Spicy Chickenjoy shortage in Jollibee stores across US?
If you’re a fan of Filipino fast food chain Jollibee’s Spicy Chickenjoy and have been having a hard time finding it in stores, you’re not alone. Jollibee diners took to Reddit to share their struggle in finding the elusive spicy fried chicken variant, which has lasted for over two months now, some say.
Comments from Reddit users across various states confirm the said shortage. User zuperman posting on r/bayarea said they’ve been told by Jollibee staff that there is an issue with the vendor and they don’t know when it will be resolved.

Replying to an Instagram comment asking about the shortage on Dec. 1, 2023, Jollibee US said, “We’ve been experiencing supply chain challenges like other restaurants, but we’re working hard with our suppliers to make your favorite Jollibee items available at all locations.” Jollibee US has since stopped replying to comments about the shortage on its latest posts.
The Spicy Chickenjoy was first introduced by Jollibee in the US in December 2021. “We have perfected our Spicy Chickenjoy recipe to include a delicious blend of chilis and seasonings in the marinade and coating that deliver maximum flavor in each bite,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, business group head, Honeybee Foods Corporation dba Jollibee.
