Man who assaulted Filipina in New York pleads guilty to anti-Asian hate crime
With anti-semitic attacks on the rise, let’s not forget that anti-Asian hate is still in the picture. Recently, a man fresh out of his parole hit off an unpleasant encore brutally assaulting a 65-year-old Filipino woman in New York.

Brandon Elliott, who pleaded guilty to anti-Asian hate crime, already had a crime history. He was on parole for killing his mother. This time, a Filipino American woman in New York was left battered and bruised.

According to the criminal complaint, Elliott approached the victim shouting, “F*ck you, you don’t belong here,” before the violent attack, reported by AM New York.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Elliott took out a knife and threatened a Good Samaritan trying to thwart the assault. Police caught him a few days later. He pleaded guilty to assault as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon.
