Filipino-owned Khaykery Bakery is gearing up to be a delightful part of Vancouver’s Christmas market on Dec. 16 at the Philippine Consulate General. The festive event will showcase not only Khaykery’s delectable creations but also the diverse talents of Filipino-Canadian vendors.

The upcoming event follows the bakery’s unique venture into vending machines where they have been delighting customers with silvanas—a Filipino cashew meringue wafer sandwich filled with buttercream.

Khaykery Bakery’s journey began as an accidental venture when Aimee Khay Nagasan, a full-time mom turned baker, started experimenting with baking at home.

Despite its temporary closure at the height of the pandemic, Khaykery Bakery survived and expanded its offerings to include custom cakes, siopao, mamon, ensaymadas, and pandesal.
