Canada Visa Online makes it easier to lodge applications for Filipino citizens

Canada Visa Online has launched a pioneering initiative to simplify the visa application process for citizens of the Philippines. The platform’s innovative approach marks a significant leap towards enhancing global connectivity for Filipino travelers.
Filipino passport holders are now eligible to apply for the Canada Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), a system introduced by the Government of Canada to simplify the entry process for foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries.
To qualify for the eTA, Filipino citizens must either possess a US nonimmigrant visa or have held a Canadian Temporary Resident Visa in the past 10 years. Eligible Filipino citizens who can enter the country visa-free are also qualified. The eTA is specifically required for air travel and ensures quick and efficient entry for short business, tourist, and transit visits.
The Canada eTA, valid for multiple entries over five years, necessitates a biometric or e-passport for application. The online process includes all passport holders, counting infants and minors. Filipino citizens must also adhere to the 90-day limit for their stay in Canada, emphasizing the program’s focus on enhancing security and efficiency in immigration procedures.

The application fee for the eTA is sevenCanadian dollars, with most being approved within minutes.
The launch of the Canada Visa for Filipino Citizens underscores their dedication to providing a user-friendly interface and ensuring a hassle-free experience for Filipino nationals. The platform also offers services such as the Canada Visa for Japanese Citizens, Canada Visa for Seychelles Citizens, and Canada ETA for Greek Citizens.
