Bretman Rock’s siblings spice up Waipahu, Hawaii with mom-approved food truck
Social media royalty Bretman Rock may be rocking the scene in Filipino barongs but his siblings are also killing it in Hawaii with their food truck called MamaMerce’s Kitchen.
Owned by Bretman’s sibling Edmund S. Laforga Jr. and his wife Lorena together with Princess Mae Sacayanan and cousin Jorlie Pesca, the food truck is named after their real queen and beloved mother Mercedita.
MamaMerce’s Kitchen has been rolling around the city since 2020 when Edmund decided to ditch his hard hat for a chef’s apron.
“It was a struggle, but with family by my side, I’ve turned my foodie dreams into reality,” he says.

Back when MamaMerce’s Kitchen was just starting out, Bretman and his sister Princess did a hilarious food review. Even social media princess Bella Poarch got a taste of the food truck’s specialty when they were just starting out.

The Bretman special and other delish picks
Although the Bretman squad stirs up our hearts on social media, the family food truck stirs pots and pans to deliver all the best that Filipino food can offer.
That said, there are several dishes that reign supreme. The Bretman specials—chicken adobo and Bicol express that are perennial favorites in any Filipino food outlet; Princess’ royal dish of fried chicken and pork belly roll; Mama Merce’s special lechon kawali and pinakbet; and a chef’s choice—beef steak and dinuguan combo—that keeps things exciting no matter what time of the day you order for yourself or for any event that may need it given that they do actually provide catering services.
