Filipino talents are once again taking center stage—this time bringing their skills and voices to Netflix’s “Blue Eye Samurai.”

The series, which became available on Nov. 3, has captivated audiences with its storytelling and an all-star cast that includes some of Hollywood’s most prominent Filipino actors.

Set during Japan’s Edo period, “Blue Eye Samurai” follows the journey of Mizu, a multi-racial samurai seeking vengeance against those who once rejected her. The show’s co-creators, Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, were inspired to craft this compelling story when they saw their newborn child’s blue eyes, setting the stage for a unique and empowering narrative.

Mark Dacascos, a Filipino-American martial arts legend and actor, lends his voice to the fearsome character Chiaki, the leader of the Four Fangs gang. His reputation as a martial artist and his extensive acting career, which includes roles in ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum,’ brings depth and authenticity to the character.

Joining Dacascos is Eric Bauza, a voice actor known for his roles as Stimpy in “Ren & Stimpy ‘Adult Party Cartoon’” and Fozzie Bear in “Muppet Babies.”

Additionally, Allain Uy, known for his roles in “Helstrom” and “The Paper Tigers,” plays Kazuyoshi, adding to the show’s rich ensemble of Filipino talents.
