Two Filipino Americans were recognized at the 22nd Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Awards hosted by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) on Sept. 21, 2023 in downtown Manhattan.
Edwin Josue, a distinguished New York-based realtor, and Edward F. Flores, a senior business manager and risk and governance officer for the DWS Group, received the prestigious honor.

His career, which began in 1993, saw him achieve $5 million in sales as a residential real estate broker in his first year. Today, he operates at Brown Harris Stevens, utilizing his extensive sales and management expertise to provide exceptional, personalized service to his clients.
Flores, on the other hand, brings over two decades of expertise in insurance, mutual funds, hedge funds, and regulation to his role as a senior business manager and risk and governance officer in the chief operating officer office at DWS Group. His commitment to mentorship has earned him the esteemed RBS Distinguished Mentorship Award in 2022.
Both Josue and Flores emphasize the importance of visibility and social responsibility within the realm of business and finance. The AABDC’s annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business award not only celebrates success in business but also recognizes the contributions these leaders make to their communities.
