Are celebrities turning to Microcurrent facial?

While many people are just being introduced to Botox and dermal fillers, a great number of celebrities are resorting to natural, less invasive facial procedures. The resurgence of the holistic approach and the uncertainty of long term effects have prodded a shift in the beauty mindset. Microcurrent nonsurgical lift is now gaining ground, particularly to known show biz personalities.

According to Joanna Vargas, an esthetician to the stars, among her regular clients are Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore, Sofia Coppola and Madonna. Her spa is swamped right before the Oscars or any other major awards show.

Skin care specialist Donna Pace of Jade Esthetics developed a great Microcurrent protocol list. Liv Tyler and Susan Sarandon are her frequent clients. She was also a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Since then, Oprah and Dr. Phil have tried the treatment and remarked that it is the best result-oriented alternative to plastic surgery.

An avid fan of this beauty technology is Jennifer Lopez. She even bought her own machine and does a regular treatment in the privacy of her own home. She may have hired the service of an esthetician though, since this requires special training.

The latest to join the Microcurrent craze is Kim Kardashian, who posted a picture and video of her receiving a   Microcurrent facial. Her Instagram account has 108 million followers. She must have seen and felt results since she has been known for subjecting herself to transformative procedures.

Why are celebrities suddenly getting hooked on the Microcurrent beauty treatment? It is non-invasive. One can apply make-up and attend a party looking fresh afterwards.

Aside from leaving the skin healthy and toned, Microcurrent treatment increases collagen thickness in connective tissue by 10 percent and blood circulation increases by 35 percent. Improved blood circulation encourages faster cell repair (cell repair slows down as we age).

During the Microcurrent beauty procedure, the ATP (cell energy giving cell) activity is enhanced. According to Skin for Life, low levels of current work in synergy with the body’s own biological current, addressing the visible signs of aging. There is re-education of muscles, resulting from small electrical impulses thereby triggering a firming and tightening response.

Smooth fine lines and wrinkles, diminished age expression, and redefinition of neck, jowls, cheek and eye areas are some of the benefits of Microcurrent. Should we be surprised by how it is gaining popularity among the famous?
