Hoisting the Filipino music scene on the international map, acclaimed singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre secures a nomination at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).

The “most streamed Filipina artist” on Spotify has been included in the highly competitive category of Best Asia Act, making her the only artist from the Philippines to be nominated this year.

Competing for the same title alongside “Paubaya” songstress are other notable artists from the region: BE:First of Japan, Bright of Thailand, Tiara Andini of Indonesia, and K-pop global group Treasure of South Korea.

Voting is open to fans at the MTV EMA website through Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m. CET. This year’s MTV EMAs is set to take place in Paris on Nov. 5.
