KC Concepcion looks back on Soho Int’l Film Fest experience
After taking a break from the screens, KC Concepcion is finally making her acting comeback, and she is doing it with a bang.
The Filipino actress is playing the lead role in the Tony and Grammy winner Jhett Tolentino-directed movie, “Asian Persuasion.”
Co-starring with Dante Basco, the film delves into the consequences of divorce, with Basco scheming to reconcile with her character Avery Chua to avoid his substantial alimony obligations.
On Sept. 21, the FAMAS Best Actress took to her Instagram and shared a video reel with Taylor Swift’s “Long Live,” showcasing her recent participation in the Soho International Film Festival for the said Hollywood movie.
She writes, “I’ll remember this moment when you all showed up for us at the @sohofilmfest screening on days 1 & 2,” acknowledging the support she received during the two-day screening on Sept. 16 and 17.

“Thank you for your support of our humble, light-hearted romcom! Mahal ko kayo!!!” she adds.
The actress-turned-jeweler also posts her outfit on her account with a caption that reads, “Paying homage to Filipino tradition, as I make my way through the streets of New York for my first American film.”

Filmed entirely in New York City last year, the indie Hollywood film pays tribute to the city’s renowned landmarks while also shedding light on its less explored cultural communities.
“Asian Persuasion” will be theatrically released in the Philippines on Nov. 29.
