If you’ve got nothing to do at the end of this month, the 9th Annual Fil Fest USA will come to the rescue.

Get ready to embark on a two-day celebration of flavors, colors, and traditions as this annual festival showcases Filipino American culture, food, and entertainment at Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year’s theme centers on performing, visual, and culinary arts as the festival showcases Filipino culture through a diverse range of events and special performances.

Joining this year’s festival is band Jagmac who has Filipino roots and was named as Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing” in April 2018.

Last year, the event took place at the same location, where it featured social media stars Ashley Mehta and Annie Lux. In contrast to this year’s theme, the 2022 event paid tribute to the military.

Fil Fest USA offers an opportunity to immerse in Filipino culture and experience a fusion of cultural and conventional activities that will transport everyone to the Philippines without leaving Virginia Beach. The event is free and open to the public.
