Fil-Am artist Louis De Guzman, N.E.R.D. team up for capsule collection

Creative collaborations between music and art aren’t anything new but we love seeing them all the same.
This time, American hip-hop and rock band N.E.R.D. teams up with celebrated Filipino-American visual artist Louis De Guzman to create a capsule collection that transcends boundaries.
Called the N.E.R.D. Explorers Club Capsule, the collection shares a glimpse into De Guzman’s imaginative “Along The Way” universe—“a new body of work based on the principles of imagination, discovery and explorations,” he says on Instagram—beautifully blending with the band’s genre-defying music.
You could also say this was a defining moment for the Chicago-based artist who considers N.E.R.D. a formative part of his youth and helping him become more comfortable in his own skin and to feel okay to “go against the norm.”
“With timing, ideation, and dedication, it was only right to align worlds and bring their ethos into existence through the lens of the ‘Along the Way’ universe. Being that fictional yet non-fictional club that serves as a social group for those whom are curious about the world and their place within it,” he writes on Instagram.

Within the N.E.R.D. Explorers Club Capsule, you’ll find an array of pieces that carry the essence of N.E.R.D.’s genre-bending legacy. From screen-printed tees and an eye-catching embroidered jacket to stylish socks and head-turning headwear, to say that the collection is diverse is an understatement.
Home accessories, including a neon wall clock and a distinctive rug, add a touch of the N.E.R.D. aesthetic to living spaces. The capsule also features a series of posters that capture the essence of the collaboration.
