OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois – Filipina American actress Aja Wiltshire is playing a major role as June Carter in Drury Lane Theatre’s production of “Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash.”
Wiltshire plays the wife of legendary western singer Johnny Cash in the bio-musical.
She won rave reviews in productions like “Cambodian Rock Band” at Victory Gardens and “Merrily We Roll Along” at Porchlight Music Theatre.
“Ring of Fire” showcases the story of Johnny Cash (Lance Guest) through his music. From country rock n’ roll to searing ballads of love and faith, Cash’s iconic songs highlight the incredible struggles and triumphs of his life. The musical is directed by Scott Weinstein. Music director is Chuck Mead.
The musical runs until Oct. 22, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
