Here’s how to get that everyday Kelsey Merritt glow

Perfecting a beauty routine can feel like a pricey gamble in today’s economy. A reliable beauty regimen requires trial-and-error, and it’s hard to invest in beauty products whose effectiveness remains uncertain.
Thankfully, Kelsey Merritt, the first Filipino-American model to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway, shares her secret to achieving a radiant everyday makeup look in a video with Allure, all in just 10 minutes. Although some of her preferred brands can be a bit pricey, the beauty investment is definitely worth it.
Here’s how Kelsey Merritt does it
To attain that luminous inner glow, Merritt applies a liquid illuminator all over her face. She particularly adores Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter because it gives her that brilliance beneath her concealer and foundation; it’s the very first product she applies.
“A trick to finding your shade is really understanding your skin’s undertone and then adjusting the foundation,” she shares, and then proceeds to apply the next product, which is a foundation from Laura Mercier in the shade three-in-one buff. Be careful with how much you put on though, Merritt prefers a light base and only applies a small amount of foundation.

What the US-based model loves most about the foundation is that it’s buildable and still keeps her freckles visible.
She then follows it up with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Concealer because it doesn’t crease when applied under the eyes. Take it from her; she uses a damp beauty blender because it’s much easier to use that way.
For contour, Merritt highlights using Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Contour Wand. She says that the contour is easy to use and blend. “I feel like with contour, you want to start with little then keep adding rather than smearing a lot so you have more control over how much you put.”
There’s another secret she’s willing to tell
After contouring, the model goes back to her concealer to further “sculpt” her cheekbones and lift the face, which she has been doing recently.

To evenly set her base, Merritt employs another Charlotte Tilbury product, which is the Airbrush Flawless Finish powder. She shares that the powder is the best, as “it still keeps the glow underneath while setting the makeup.”
She sets the rest of her face with two more powders; Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.
The makeup is set
When you want to keep your eyebrows in place all day, she suggests utilizing Ruffy’s brow sculpt. She then puts McGrath Perma Gel eye pencil to elongate her eyes and a Japanese beauty brand, Heroine Make Long Up Mascara Super Waterproof, for her mascara. She loves the mascara because it doesn’t smudge and won’t make her look like she’s been crying at all.

How to get that healthy, sun-kissed glow? This might be the answer you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to layer different bronzers, just like what Merritt does in the video. She usually administers Chanel’s Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream’ on top of her contour for added definition. “This just makes you look like you’ve been on the beach all summer.”
Afterward, she layers it with a shimmery bronzer from Kosas. To finish her bronzed look, Merritt typically opts for a rich mauve blush shade and an interesting lippie of choice.

“It’s purple. It looks scary at first but it works so fast. Take it off right away,” she says. “It gives you a beautiful, natural-looking lip that will last you all day.”
