Filipino wins $500,000 lotto, will buy a home in BC, build an apartment in PH
Kenneth Ramos stopped for gas and ended up having the means to buy a home in Canada and build an apartment in the Philippines.
Ramos stopped at an Esso station on 96th Avenue and 168th Street in Surrey, BC, Canada and checked his lottery ticket.
He found out that he matched 4/4 Extra numbers from the Aug. 8 Lotto Max draw. Ramos bought the winning ticket at the same station.

“I was speechless and walked away and came back to double-check a few minutes later.” He called his wife, and “she was speechless,” Ramos said.
Ramos said he plans to save for his children’s education, build an apartment in the Philippines and buy a home in British Columbia.
