Lego unveils PH-themed Minifigures to (cutely) celebrate PH independence
Remember the feel of those small colorful bricks on your hands and the joy of building something creative out of them? Now imagine those same Lego bricks infused with Filipino culture—it feels nostalgic doesn’t it?
Turns out, these actually exist.
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Philippine independence, Lego collaborated with the Philippine Consulate to capture the essence of freedom with limited edition Lego Filipino Minifigures.
As adorable as these Filipino-themed Minifigures are, they are also symbolic cultural ambassadors that pay homage to the momentous declaration of Philippine independence.

Philippine Consul General Senen T. Mangalile shared one of their goals for this collaboration in an interview: “We’re trying to reach the second, third generation of Filipino-Americans. What better way to reach them than through fun things like Lego bricks and Lego Minifigures.”
Crafted with Pinoy passion
Mike Jazmin, a Filipino-American Lego supervisor and designer, helped make these Filipino-themed figures into fruition. The three toy designs portray a fun take on the 125th Philippine Independence Day celebration. But these Minifigures aren’t just toys, they are also blank slates for your creativity and Pinoy hearts.
