Jo Koy’s Netflix domination continues with 2 new comedy specials
Filipinos are comedians at heart, and popular Fil-Am funny man Jo Koy will once again prove it with two new Netflix specials set to premiere in 2024.
Produced by Art & Industry, the first show will be taped at the King’s Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, on Nov. 10 and 11.
Jo Koy is currently taking his hilarious act around the world with his “Jo Koy World Tour.” His first stop Guam already booked three sold-out dates this weekend before he traverses back to North America—and making a pit stop in Abu Dhabi—to continue the rest of the tour until February 2024.

Unveiling Jo Koy’s Filipino brand of comedy
While Jo Koy has been dominating stages worldwide, he’s still a Pinoy at heart. His 2020 Netflix show “Jo Koy: In His Elements” was a love letter to his Filipino roots. This special featured Filipino comedians, B-boys, and DJs, all captured in Manila.

From the Mall of Asia Arena in Metro Manila and the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai to the Kia Forum in California and the iconic Madison Square Garden in NYC, his comedic antics have echoed across the globe.
In addition, the Fil-Am comedian also spread laughter in his 11 back-to-back, sold-out shows at the Blaisdell Arena in 2017, which prompted Honolulu’s mayor to declare Nov. 24, 2017, Jo Koy Day.

But his energy isn’t just relegated to comedy shows. In 2021, he launched his autobiography, “Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo,” which took readers on a personal journey. And he even took over Hollywood with Universal’s film “Easter Sunday” last year.

“I never expected this! But it took me 28 years to get where I am now. 28 years,” he shared in an interview.
His Netflix stardom started in 2017 with “Jo Koy: Live from Seattle.” Jo Koy’s ” Comin’ in Hot,” “Jo Koy: In His Elements,” and “Jo Koy: Live at the Los Angeles Forum” followed suit.
His next agenda? Lending his voice to Netflix’s “The Monkey King,” a fantasy action comedy premiering on Aug. 18, Friday. Bowen Yang, Jimmy O. Yang, Stephanie Hsu, and BD Wong all star in the film.
With a cultural connection that runs deep and a legacy of laughter, Jo Koy is a cultural comedic star to be reckoned with, and we’ll just be here ROTFL-ing to his witty banters.
