They love the English: Prince William is most favored world leader in the US
A recent survey by global analytics firm Gallup revealed that Americans seem to hold several foreign leaders in higher favor than their own.
The poll was conducted from July 3 to 27, among more than a thousand individuals in the US. The survey aimed to find out Americans’ views on public figures in the news, and which personalities both Democrats and Republicans could agree on.
Prince William of England got 59 percent of favorable opinions, followed by Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a 57 percent favorable opinion.
The most favored American public figure comes in at third—First Lady Jill Biden, with a favorability rating of 49 percent. She is followed by the recently crowned King Charles at 46 percent.

Meanwhile, former president Donald Trump and his successor President Joe Biden come in 5th and 6th spots respectively. They tie with a favorable rating of 41 percent. Trump only bests Biden with a lower unfavorable rating, at 55 percent versus Biden’s 57 percent.

Biden’s favorability rating reflects his recent job approval rating (40.1 percent).
Meanwhile, the least favored public figure is Russian president Vladimir Putin, with only a five percent favorable rating, and 90 percent unfavorable rating.
