What goes around, comes around—at least for a woman’s stolen credit card that found its way back to her, thanks to an oblivious thief.
A woman from Arkansas had the thief arrested when she noticed that he was using her card to pay for a restaurant bill, reports KATV News.
Earlier on Sunday, June 17, Flora Lunsford was robbed while she was parked at a gas station in the city of Pine Bluff. While Lunsford was inside a store, the suspect, identified as Shamon West, broke into her vehicle and took her purse.
West, who was gassing up, left without paying for the gas and picked up a man from the side of the store who had shoplifted a drink.
Two days later, Lunsford was working her shift as a waitress at a restaurant two blocks away from the gas station. When she received the man’s card, she noticed it was her own.
Rather than swipe the card, she called the police to report the incident. West was arrested and Lunsford’s other cards were retrieved, including her driver’s license, social security card and other credit cards.
West was charged with forgery and theft on top of his three outstanding warrants. Niña V. Guno /ra
