Fil-Am athlete Robyn Brown soars with gold medal win at Canada trackfest

Ontario, Canada witnessed an exceptional display of athleticism as Fil-Am athlete Robyn Brown won the gold medal in the women’s 400-meter hurdles at the 2023 Royal City Inferno Track and Field Festival.

Brown left her competitors stunned. Her victory established her name in track and field history.

Hurdler Brown clocked an impressive time of 57.49 seconds. With this record, she left her competitors trailing behind.

She surpassed Kaila Barber, who won silver with a time of 57.95 seconds. Marie-Frederique Poulin won the bronze medal, which recorded a time of 58.51 seconds.

This current victory also makes Brown a contender in the global athletic arena.

She was aiming to secure spots at the upcoming 2023 Asian Athletics Championships. Following this, if she wins, she will have the chance to join the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Some of her notable achievements are already a testament to her talent. In May, she won the silver at SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia. In the 31st SEA Games, Brown won bronze in the 400 hurdles women’s category.

William Morrison and Eric Cray added to the medal count with their stellar talents. Morrison displayed his strength and precision in the shot put category.

With a strong heave, he won the bronze medal with a distance of 17.85 meters. Mark Bujnowski claimed the gold with a remarkable throw at 19.26 meters.

In addition, Joseph Maxwell won the silver with a distance of 18.73 meters. Morrison’s victory showcased his impressive talent and solid discipline.

Meanwhile, Eric Cray, a six-time Southeast Asian Games champion, excelled in the 400-meter hurdle. With his determination, he finished the race in 49.88 seconds which secured him a bronze medal.

Rox Roy emerged as the champion, reaching the finish line in 49.55 seconds. Shake Hall Smoth followed after him with a time of 49.69 seconds.

Another talented Fil-Am athlete has shown his skills in another sport at the same event. Umajesty Williams engages in an exciting battle in the men’s 400-meter race.

Williams showed impressive stamina and speed. Although he missed winning the gold, he proved his potential with a time of 46.48 seconds.

Michael Roth won a gold with a time of 46.07 seconds.

These exceptional Fil-Am athletes and other outstanding individuals have been selected to represent the Philippines as part of the 23-player squad in the highly-awaited 2023 Asian Athletics Championships.

The event will take place from July 12-16 in Pattaya, Thailand. It will be a vital qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Fil-Am athletes are determined to show their talents once again, competing against the best athletes worldwide.
