VANCOUVER, B.C. – Indomitable Canadian Filipinos, the first book that tells the contemporary history of Filipinos in Canada from 1950 to 2022, was launched June 7 to mark Filipino Migrant Worker’s Day and Filipino Heritage Month in Canada.

The book edited by Eleanor R. Laquian recounts immigration stories of individuals and families, highlighting their achievements, issues, struggles, needs, hopes and dreams.

Academicians, researchers, journalists and essayists provided the in-depth theorizing and analyzes of the 70-year history of Filipino immigration to Canada.
