Sail Into Excitement: LA Fleet Week Returns for a Memorable Memorial Day Weekend
Get ready, Los Angeles! LA Fleet Week is back for an even more memorable Memorial Day weekend celebration. It is a four-day feast full of exciting activities and events.
This year, the celebration will go beyond the LA Waterfront. It will be filled with events all across Los Angeles.
Held yearly over the Memorial Day Weekend, LA Fleet Week is an honor to the nation’s Sea Services. It allows the public to enter active US Navy and Coast Guard ships.
Furthermore, this festivity is not just about aerial shows and ship tours. It is a huge expo featuring the critical role of Sea Services in assuring freedom of the seas.

LA Fleet Week 2023: Schedules and Locations
The central expo location will be alongside the legendary Battleship USS Iowa at 250 S. Harbor Blvd. in San Pedro. It will operate from 10 am – 6 pm every day from Friday, May 26, until Monday, May 29.
Moreover, the celebration extends beyond the expo with events planned all around Los Angeles:
- May 24, Wednesday: Hollywood “neighborhood activation” event
- May 25, Thursday: Service member visits in downtown L.A.
- May 26, Friday: Community events in Brea
- May 27, Saturday: Activities in Venice
The festivity will offer free service projects, band concerts, and other events aiming to bring Los Angeles communities closer to the US Sea Services.

LA Fleet Week also promises various family-friendly activities as it is Southern California’s biggest Memorial Day weekend.

In addition to live entertainment and music, visitors can enjoy US Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Army exhibits and ship tours.
The military branches will again contend in Galley Wars and Dodgeball. Also, an outdoor “Welcome Home” concert for military members will happen on Saturday.
The concert will feature five-time Grammy Award nominee Ambrosia, as reported by Daily Breeze. She is famous for her hit songs like “Baby Come Back,” “Biggest Part of Me,” and “How Much I Feel.”

If you plan to join the fun, note that the ship tours are free. However, it is only available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Opt for closed-toe and comfortable shoes. Be ready for airport-style security at the venue. Please remember that five years old is the minimum age for ship tours.
