Trade, humanitarian missions to PH slated for October

LOS ANGELES — Preparations are under way for Federation 2018, the trade and humanitarian missions organized by the 22-year-old Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce.

Yolanda Ortega Stern, FPACC’s founding president and One World Institute’s president and head of missions, announced that the trade mission’s theme is “Bridging the Global Economy for Change: The Future of Work.”

Federation 2018 starts off with a trade mission on October 16-17 to CALABARZON, the most populous region in the Philippines, comprising the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

The Philippine Business Conference (PBC) in Manila on October 18-19 comes next, with its own calendar of activities, highlighted by B2B matching and special sessions that address Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (PCCI) thrust on the digital economy.

On October 20 to 24, the Medical & Humanitarian Mission’s participants will convene in Davao Occidental. Cleft and harelip repair, cataract surgery, Well Woman GYN exams, eye checks, dental services, diabetes screening, wellness checks, and relief distribution are among the planned activities. After a day of rest and recreation, the team returns to the US on October 26.
