Documenting your global adventures

Avid travelers probably have quite a repertoire of different travel destinations throughout their life, which can be hard to keep track of in the long run. If you’re among them, proudly display your adventures for all to see in several fantastic and creative ways!

Small Journals

Instead of opting for a huge journal where you can mash up all of your travel entries, buy smaller, thinner notebooks and set one for each journey you take. This way, you’ll have a single notebook focused solely on one destination. A smaller notebook is easier to take around wherever you go and may compel you to make shorter yet descriptive entries during your entire trip. Multiple smaller notebooks are also fun to organize and read through one by one.

Maps and Pins

Sometimes, all you need to keep track of your adventures across the globe is a flat representation of Earth and some snazzy push pins. Buy yourself a well-made map and an accompanying cork board (either fit to the map or larger so you can cut off the excess). Once you’re done gluing or stapling the map on the cork, get some pins and use your keen eyes to seek out the places you’ve visited. Choose pins with fancy or interesting designs to make it really eye-catching. You can hang it on the wall or display it on a shelf to proudly show off your exploits. Alternatively, you can use a soft, wooden globe if you want something fancier.

Photo Albums

Printing photos may not be a very common practice anymore, but it should be! There’s just something so charming and nostalgic about a small book filled with page after page of memorable images. Whether you arrange them by the year of travel or alphabetically by the name of the country visited is up to you. If the cover is blank, maybe you can decorate it with small items and memorabilia from your journeys.

Scrapbook

These are similar to photo albums but with more knick-knacks and creativity involved. You basically get a blank scrapbook, crafting materials, and some photos of trips you want to proudly preserve and show off to people. Paste the pictures first then decorate around them with stickers, souvenirs, tickets or other flat items from your trip, and more! If you don’t know how to start your own scrapbook, there are videos and basic tutorials on the internet to help get you started.

Travel Video

Whether by phone, drone, or camcorder, compiling little snippets of videos during your adventures into a full video can save you both the space and the effort of looking for just the right travel clip. There are lots of ways you can put together a video, whether you pay somebody to do it for you or you learn for yourself by buying a user-friendly video editing program and looking up tutorials online. With a little music and selected scenes, create fun, short videos you can post online or keep in your external drive with a collection of other travel videos.

Remember your multiple journeys across the world and share your adventures with any visitors or relatives who might stop to visit. It’s a great reminder of all the amazing travel memories you’ve collected throughout your life. Record your story the way you want and it’ll pay off in the future when you look back at all the amazing journeys you’ve achieved in life.
