Great news for Radiohead fans! The band plans to collaborate “soon” on fresh new material.
Philip Selway, the drummer who recently dropped his solo album “Strange Dance,” has disclosed it in a statement.
He said the band is taking time off to concentrate on their personal endeavors. But they are discussing the potential collaboration on a new project within the “next couple of years.”

In an interview with Prog Magazine, Selway mentioned that the band frequently discusses potential projects.
However, as of now, a collaborative project is not in the immediate future beyond their recent reissue project and interactive exhibition for ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ in 2021.
Although they continue to discuss the possibility of working together on a new project, the members are currently focused on their individual pursuits.

The latest record from the group, ‘A Moon Shaped Pool,’ was released in 2016, indicating that the fans eagerly anticipate new content.
The release date for the band’s next project remains unknown. But it is reassuring to hear that the Radiohead machine is still running.
Drummer Phil Selway explains that the band had planned to take a break from Radiohead when the pandemic hit, to work on other projects.
However, these different projects ended up taking up more time than expected.

Selway says they are giving these projects the time they need to develop. But fans can expect something new from Radiohead in the next few years. “There’s no Radiohead at the moment,” he stated.
He said they strive to maintain authenticity in their creative process. They also won’t reunite solely for financial gain like some other bands that tend to “get together for the big payday,” he added.
