Recently, there has been an increase in the use of  artificial intelligence (AI) to generate portraits of individuals. One example is the recent trend of AI-generated wrestler portraits of US Presidents that have taken the internet by storm.

This trend started with a Twitter user who goes by the handle @hamcarless. They shared images depicting US Presidents as wrestlers on their account two days ago.

These images quickly went viral, garnering thousands of likes, shares, and comments.

“All right. Other presidents that you never asked for AI art thread. This time, they’re professional wrasslins (sic),” he tweeted and began in order, from the first President George Washington to the current Joe Biden.

More about the AI-Generated Images

In the images, also available as posters, popular presidents like George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Abraham Lincoln are all represented by new avatars.

The poster reads “Presidents of the United States of America, Pro Wrasslin Edition” on top and features icons of the wrestler version of all presidents.

These well-designed images sparked a flood of comments. According to some historical facts shared by one user, Abraham Lincoln was a skilled wrestler.

The user said, “An amazing physical specimen at 6-feet-4, he was popularly known for his wrestling skills. He had only one recorded defeat in a dozen years.”

These portraits are unique because they reimagine the Presidents as professional wrestlers, with colorful costumes, impossible poses, and exaggerated features.

Some of the most famous portraits include George Washington as a patriotic wrestler, Abraham Lincoln as a lumberjack wrestler, and Theodore Roosevelt as a cowboy wrestler.

Certain Presidents, like Grover Cleveland and William Howard Taft, were depicted with a bulky wrestler’s appearance that highlighted their enormous bellies.

Artists also portrayed some Presidents, including Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Jimmy Carter, with the physique of a seasoned wrestler from the past.

But how did the Twitter user create these portraits? The answer lies in using AI.

To create the wrestler portraits, the artist used a combination of historical photographs of the Presidents and images of professional wrestlers. The creator also mentions the use of Photoshop.

The Marvel of AI Creations

The result is a set of humorous and visually stunning portraits. They provide a unique perspective on the Presidents, casting them in a new light and allowing us to see them differently.

They also highlight the incredible potential of AI to create art and generate new ideas.

Furthermore, they demonstrate how technology can push the boundaries of art and inspire novel forms of artistic expression.

Well, this is one of many topics about AI recreation. A few days ago, a creative person shared an AI-designed image of some historical figures, which also went viral.

The viral Twitter thread showed portraits of 21 emperors, including Bindusara, Ashoka, Prithviraj Chauhan, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Shah Jahan, Ranjit Singh, and Sikandar Lodi.

Though some users said that the thread brought history to life, others said that many Mughal emperors of mixed ancestry were solely shown as having mongoloid features.
