Quentin Tarantino, the filmmaker behind “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Pulp Fiction,” is preparing what he calls his last movie.
The development for the project is in progress, and shooting is scheduled to start in Fall 2023.
Tarantino had previously mentioned to CNN that he intends to retire from filmmaking after three decades in the industry.
The director announced that he has worked in the entertainment industry for 30 years. He feels it’s time to end his show.

He fears becoming an out-of-touch older man and already feels disconnected from current movies.
According to sources, Quentin Tarantino has written a script called “The Movie Critic.”
The details of the story’s plot are being kept confidential, but sources have revealed that it takes place in Los Angeles in the late 1970s and features a female protagonist.

In the late 1970s, Kael shortly worked as a consultant for Paramount. The 70s’ is a period that seems to correspond with the film’s setting.
The filmmaker behind the project is said to greatly admire Kael. It further bolsters the likelihood of her being the film’s subject.
While the project has yet to find a studio, sources suggest that Sony, with whom the director has a close relationship, is a strong contender.
Sony previously distributed the director’s 2019 film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which won two Oscars and earned over $377 million worldwide.
Despite his plans to retire from filmmaking, he has shown an inclination toward exploring other creative avenues. During interviews, he has expressed interest in directing limited series or plays.
Additionally, he recently ventured into writing and published his debut novel in 2021, a novelization of his epic film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
