Born in Italy, Teresa married her late husband, a soldier, in 1946. She subsequently lived in various locations worldwide prior to finally settling in Southern California.

According to Teresa, exercising boosts her energy. However, her daughter believes her mom’s adventurous personality also leads her to the gym.

“She meets her friends in a world where aging is often associated with decline.” A 103-year-old woman in California inspires people of all ages with her dedication to fitness.

Teresa Moore has been lifting weights at the gym for over two decades and shows no signs of slowing down.

Moore is a Camarillo resident who frequents her nearby fitness center three to four times weekly.

Unlike most gym-goers, the centenarian arrives with an assortment of jewelry and an entirely made-up face.

Charming images capture Teresa lifting weights while maintaining her perfectly styled hair.

Additionally, she relishes walking on the treadmill and employing exercise equipment.

Sheila Moore, her daughter, said to FOX 11 Los Angeles. “I think [my] mother is a curious person.”

“She lived a vagabond life after leaving Italy, and I guess curiosity was a big motivating factor,” she continued, adding that the gym is her mother’s happy place.

Apart from her fitness routine, Teresa enjoys indulging in her favorite pastimes of playing bridge and attending operas. The 103-year-old lady advises others to remain resilient and live life with no regrets.

“Try to be happy,” Teresa said. “Try to think of good things.” She also said to see everything beautifully and think of everything splendidly.

“I feel better when I exercise. It’s just like brushing your teeth. You’ve got to do it,” she continued.

Moore’s dedication to fitness is not only impressive but also serves as an inspiration to people of all ages.

She proves that age is just a number and that it’s never too late to start caring for your body.

And while lifting weights may not be for everyone, there are countless ways to stay active and healthy, regardless of age or fitness level.

Experts agree that exercise is excellent for physical and mental health, regardless of age.

Regular Exercise is Great for You

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests frequent physical activity can reduce the risk of severe illnesses like diabetes and heart disease and improve your balance, flexibility, and mood.

However, you must consult your doctor before embarking on any new exercise regimen, especially if you have any underlying health conditions.

With the proper guidance and a commitment to consistency, there’s no reason why anyone can’t reap the benefits of regular physical activity.

As for this healthy old woman in California, she has no plans to slow down anytime soon. “I’m just going to keep on lifting,” she said. “I’m just grateful to be alive and to be able to exercise.”
