Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Co-Parenting with Ex Zayn Malik
Supermodel Gigi Hadid recently opened up about her experience co-parenting her daughter with her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
The couple publicized the birth of their daughter, Khai, in September 2020. Since then, they have been navigating their co-parenting relationship.
According to Hadid, she and her former partner from the “One Direction” band have committed to prioritizing “the happiness of the child” above everything else.

She said, “I’m very happy she can be with both parents. She’s a child who grew in my stomach eating plenty of British food – beans, breakfast, curries – and still eats like that. She even talks with a little [English] accent, which I love.”

Although Hadid profoundly loves her daughter, she does not have a strong desire or prioritize becoming a mother.
She stated that having Khai when she did was a blessing, and she is grateful to be a young mother.
“I always wanted to be a mother, but I wasn’t obsessive about it or thought I was on this earth to be a mother.”
She also discussed the challenges of being a first-time parent, particularly during a pandemic. She admitted to having self-doubt and uncertainty but has been fortunate to have a supportive co-parent in Malik.

Combining Her Career with Motherhood
The model also shared how she has maintained her career while raising her daughter. She explained she has been able to balance her work schedule with her parenting responsibilities.
The supermodel has received a lot of support from her family and friends. She said she only takes jobs that require her away for extended periods of time “when Khai is with her dad.”
