Justin Bieber Appears to Throw ‘Petty’ Shade at Ex-Girlfriend Selena Gomez in Recent Party
People online suspect Justin Bieber is throwing shade at his former girlfriend Selena Gomez amid claims she has drama with his wife Haily Bieber.
The singer threw a party for his 29th birthday over the weekend with his friends and family. Yet, Gomez seems to be absent from the guest list.
However, the former music icon handed out party favors which seemed like subtle jabs against the actress.

Justin Bieber handed silver lighters during his birthday bash. Each souvenir contained the following words:
“I am so grateful that I didn’t end up with that what I thought I wanted.”
In response, many people online believed the message to be a passive-aggressive dig at his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
One Twitter user wrote, “Husband and wife both obsessed [expletive] with Selena.. they’re clearly not okay…..”
Another tweet read, ‘This is so petty, I mean if that’s the way you and your wife feel keep that petty [expletive] to yourself lol…
“…and please, you don’t have to mention somebody’s name or say ‘who’ to understand exactly what they talkin abt…”
Another Twitter user wrote, “admitting that your wife was your second choice on your birthday is crazy lmao Selena truly lives in his mind rent free’; ‘Oh he gets nasty! Iktr defend your wife.”
On the other hand, fans defended Justin Bieber by saying these statements could be more than innocent connotations.
One person tweeted, “can’t believe people are interpreting this negatively. Justin is saying he’s grateful for the life he has as is.”
Selena and Bieber had an on-and-off relationship for eight years before finally calling it quits in 2018. Two months later, he proposed to Hailey, whom he first dated in 2015.
In response, Selena Gomez appeared to address the drama regarding his ex-boyfriend via TikTok. She told people to ‘be kind’ and insisted she ‘only wants good for everyone.’
She said in a makeup tutorial video, “Thank you all so much. I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.”
Another comment read, “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”
