Tyler’s journey began after he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Pre-physical Therapy Studies from Sonoma State University in California in 2009.

He sought to further his education and obtained his personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2010.

From there, he dove headfirst into the world of personal training, working at big box and local gyms. This is where he quickly adapted to his surroundings and gained valuable experience.

Tyler then underwent an apprenticeship at the Spa Fitness Center in Capitola, California. Here, he learned about the importance of customer satisfaction and communication.

He also realized the significance of creating personalized exercise regimens tailored to each customer’s unique needs to help them achieve their goals. Here, he honed his skills as a personal trainer and began to build a name for himself in the industry.

Tyler’s hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. He soon found himself working at Custom Built Personal Training, where he continued designing effective programs for his clients and developing nutrition plans.

He also gained business experience as part of the sales team, selling training packages to members of the training center. But Tyler’s ambitions did not stop there, and in 2013, he started his own personal training business.

Through his personal training business, Tyler continued to design and implement effective in-person and online routines for his clients. He quickly grew it to generate six figures annually.

He also founded PTpioneer.com in 2014, a website that helps people find the appropriate fitness certifications for their career goals and assists them in studying for the certification exams to ensure they pass and get certified.

As the founder and senior editor at PTioneer, Tyler focuses on personal training marketing and sales strategies that can help retain clients and bring in new ones.

But Tyler’s expertise in personal training has not gone unnoticed. He has become a contributing writer for Healthline Media since 2021. Here, he shares his knowledge and insights with a wider audience.

He has also been quoted in major publications such as The Washington Post. This accolade further cemented his status as a leading voice in the personal training industry.

And in August 2022, Tyler became a contributing author at “Eat This, Not That!.” It covers topics related to fitness and nutrition.

Despite the challenges of being a personal trainer and entrepreneur, Tyler has achieved success through his unwavering determination and hard work.

He continues to give back by helping others, starting in the industry. He also shared his insights and expertise to help others achieve their own success.
