Vernon Jr. Arceno, 46, a manufacturing worker in Brampton, Ontario, won $100,000 in the Dec. 24, 2022 draw of Lotto 6/49.

He has been playing the lottery twice a week since he came to Canada in 2016.

“I couldn’t believe it. I was so overwhelmed. I showed my wife using the OLG App and she was so shocked she had to scan the ticket twice!” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
