LOS ANGELES – The search is on for Miss Filipina International (MFI) 2023. With the theme, “Confidence and Empowerment through Beauty,” MFI is calling for candidates from around the world to join the pageant which is offering bigger prizes this year.
The 2023 Miss Filipina International winner will receive $10,000 cash prize. The other prizes are $5,000 for the first runner-up, who will be crowned Miss Tourism; and $2,500 for each of the second and third runners-up.
Candidates to MFI, to be held on August 5 in Los Angeles (venue to be announced), must be from ages 16 to 27 and of at least one-fourth Filipino descent.
MFI, now owned by Worldwide Media Entertainment Corp., promises a bigger MFI pageant. Geoffrey Jimenez, chairman of the board of directors, said, “We will continue the Miss Filipina International tradition as a pageant that promotes the Philippines’ arts and culture. MFI candidates and eventually, the winners, will embody the best of the modern Filipina – smart, talented achievers in their own beautiful way. As our theme proclaims, MFI hopes to empower and bolster confidence and poise in our candidates.”
