Filipino faces DUI charges after Portland bridge crash kills man

A 31-year-old Filipino was arrested Monday, Dec. 19, after allegedly causing a crash on a major Portland, Oregon bridge, killing a man who had stopped to deal with a mechanical problem with his pickup truck.

Aldrin Roda Barraquio was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), assault in the second degree and reckless driving, after his vehicle allegedly struck David Belen, 48, whose vehicle had stalled on Portland’s Marquam Bridge.

Belen later died in a hospital from his injuries.  Barraquio, who stayed at the scene or the crash, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
