LOS ANGELES — Thomas Orlina is the Filipino American creator and executive producer of his hit 8-episode YouTube show “Your Time With Thomas.”
His 8-episode hit show titled “Your Time With Thomas” captures Orlina’s life in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. He discusses a wide range of topics and gives audiences self-improvement and workout advice. He takes viewers on a grand tour of Los Angeles and also his “second home,” Las Vegas, in the season 1 finale.
In Episode 2 he shares something very personal with his viewers–his coming out story. The episode is simply titled “Time to Come Out.”
“Being authentic especially in this day in age is extremely important if you’re trying to be in front of the camera and become a public figure. No one wants to watch someone be something they’re not. I always wanted to share my story of how I came out to people important in my life very on in the process of creating my show.”
In Episode 5 titled “Family Is Everything” Orlina touches on his Filipino culture. He discusses the language, “Tagalog,” his love for the cuisine, and explains how proud he is to be Filipino.
That successful show went on to reach thousands of views and hundreds of subscribers on his YouTube channel and aired on television in Houston, Texas, for an 8-week run in November 2017. Since then he has created other online content like “Your Time With Thomas: The Shuffle,” which is a fan-interactive show where he interacts directly with his fans base and social media followers from around the world in places like London, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Jamaica, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and the Philippines.
His most recent project is titled “Your Time With Thomas: The Experience,” which launched this year and currently airs on television.
Today on popular local channel KXLA, Orlina brings his newest spin-off series “Your Time With Thomas: The Experience” to TV viewers in Los Angeles every other Saturday.
This new 8-episode spin-off series, shot in a video log format, captures his travel experience throughout different areas of the Philippines. The show can be seen every Friday at 7:30 PST on channel KXLA.
In addition to the show airing in Los Angeles, the show can also be viewed on television on Las Vegas local channel ACTV at 12:00 PM every Saturday and also will be available on the ACTV-05 app where users can download the app for free and watch the content on their mobile devices.
