Jennings entered a plea of not guilty on Oct. 19 in Washington County Circuit Court. He is detained without bail in Washington County jail.

Police responded to a call on Sept.19 as Jennings was having an apparent drug overdose in his home. Jennings and Castro previously lived together. Castro’s family reported her missing on Sept.19.

Investigators found “more information” in Jennings’ residence that led them to “believe that the suspect in this case had possibly killed his ex-girlfriend,” Sgt. Tony Murphy of the Fayetteville Police Department, was quoted by KNWA News.
