Police officers arrested makeup artist and influencer Nikita Dragun after causing trouble. They responded to reports from The Goodtime Hotel on Monday, November 7.
Security guards told the police that the online personality was “walking around the pool area unclothed” and “causing a disturbance.”
The officials booked Dragun into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Later, she got out after paying the $2,000 bond.
More details about the arrest
According to NBC News, Nikita Dragun was reportedly wandering around the hotel’s pool area nude. Also, she was playing loud music from her room.
Eventually, police officers responded to the scene along with the hotel security staff. They knocked on Dragun’s door and told her she might have to leave the property.
In response, she slammed the door, reopened it, and asked, “Do you want more?” Then, she threw an open water bottle, “causing the water to hit and spill on” the security guard and the police.
The officers arrested Nikita Dragun for felony assault, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.
They transported the transgender influencer to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. According to her inmate profile, she got booked into the facility before 10:00 PM with a bond set at $2,000.
TIME explained how people responded after they learned about the arrest. The outlet said Twitter users started sharing videos allegedly from Dragun’s hearing on Tuesday morning.
The clip shows the teary-eyed influencer asking the judge, “Do I have to stay here in the men’s unit [still]?” The judge responded, “Yeah, I don’t make the rules up there…,” before the video ended.

The recent updates on Nikita Dragun
One of Nikita Dragun’s representatives emailed a statement to TIME:
“The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men’s unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous.”
“This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity.”
“Nikita has been released and is now safe. Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time,” the statement said.”
