Fans praise Simu Liu for humorously calling out fellow Celebrity Jeopardy contestant’s ‘What are Filipinos’ answer
Fans have praised “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” actor Simu Liu for poking fun at actor Ike Barinholtz’s ‘What are Filipinos?’ answer in Celebrity Jeopardy.
Barinholtz’s answer came in response to the clue “October is the history month for this Asian American ethnic group that includes Olivia Rodrigo and Jo Koy.”
Due to how Barinholtz’s use of the word ‘what’ instead of ‘who’, Liu joked, “What do you mean, ‘What are Filipinos?’ What do you mean, Ike?”
“Oh my god, that’s not what I meant,” Barinholtz said. “I was- you have to respond in the form of a question!”

“Okay,” Simu replied in a teasing manner. He went on to ask Iliza Shlesinger, the third contestant, “Did you hear him? I heard him.”
The Marvel actor’s humorous response was praised by fans on Twitter who viewed the entire situation as good-natured and funny.
Ike: “What are Filipinos?”
Mayim: “Yes.”
Ike: “I’ll take POP MUSIC for $400, please.”

Simu Liu made it to the semi-finals of “Celebrity Jeopardy!”, though he and Shlesinger lost out to Barinholtz, who advanced to the finals. However, Liu and Shlesinger did win $50,000 each for Stop AAPI Hate and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation respectively.
