Elon Musk launches new perfume ‘Burnt Hair’
Elon Musk has concocted something you’ll fancy if scorched hair drenched in keratin is your dream scent. The Tesla CEO’s latest innovation, ‘Burnt Hair’ perfume, is now available for purchase.
Musk has just released a new bottled fragrance through the tunnel-making Boring Company. Coming from a Twitter joke back in September, it has now crossed over to reality. The ‘Burnt Hair’ scent is available on the Boring Company website.
On Tuesday, Elon Musk tweeted the availability of the perfume. He refers to the scent as “the finest fragrance on Earth.” In addition, he also seemed to have been trying out catchy lines in his follow-up tweets like “be the change you want in the world” and “doesn’t get more lit than this.”

Moreover, the Boring Company has already sold unique and novelty items before. One of which is the Not-A-Flamethrower. Now, Musk’s bizarre ideas have come to life in a bottle.
Although the ‘Burnt Hair’ perfume advertising wasn’t as creative, the image exudes elegance through its red bottle with a ruby-like cap on top. The perfume bottle is perfect for the mystery of the ‘Burnt Hair’ scent.

With the simplicity of the perfume’s advertising, it’s obvious the company isn’t trying to boast that it smells amazing. In addition, the ‘Burnt Hair’ page doesn’t say much, providing only little details. Although some advertising copy describes it as “the essence of repugnant desire.”

Some reviews said it smells like coming closer to a candle making someone stand out in a crowd as you walk through an airport. Looking closely, there’s a reason for all this mysteriousness. As Elon Musk said, “With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable. Why did I even fight it for so long!?”
10,000 bottles of Burnt Hair sold!

‘Burnt Hair’ is for sale at $100 per bottle. Although it’s not a typical cheap cologne, the sales already soared to 10,000 bottles on Tuesday night. In total, it’s already one million dollars. The SpaceX CEO tweeted, “Can’t wait for media stories tomorrow about $1M of Burnt Hair sold.”
Given all the weirdness of this modern world, Musk’s massive fanbase might have contributed to the perfume’s huge sales on the first day of its release. Also, the mystery of the perfume that was an idea of the potential Twitter CEO is already a sure factor for gaining many sales.
