SAN MATEO, California – The Pride Center and the College of San Mateo is hosting “Kamayan and the Identities That Feed Us,” a “multicultural, food-centered intergenerational” virtual event to mark Fil-Am History Month and National Coming Out Day, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 to 8 p.m. PST.

Megan Bueno, alumna of the College of SMC, and Krystle Cansino from the SMC LGBTQ Commission, will discuss the intersectionality of LGBTQ identities and Philippine cultural roots.

A live lumpia-making will be demonstrated by Frankie Sapp, program director of the San Mateo County Pride Center. Participants who wish to follow will be informed of the ingredients to buy ahead of time.
